The State of NJ has again approved funding for the Property Tax Reimbursement Program (a.k.a. property tax freeze program). This program was first made available in 1998. Homeowners currently enrolled in this program should have begun receiving their 2007 booklets in the mail from the State.

Dedicate a Tree Downtown
The Borough of New Providence will be planting trees in the downtown business district over the next few months finalizing the downtown improvement project. Residents and business owners are invited to purchase a tree and have an engraved brick installed next to their tree. Commemorative or dedicated trees are available for a variety of reasons, including: Births and Birthdays, Graduations, New Jobs, Retirements, Engagements, Weddings or Anniversaries or Memorials.

Parking Cards Available
The Borough Clerk's office sells "Smart Cards" in increments of $100.00. These cards are used at the parking pay box at Murray Hill Train Station, for out-of-towners. Parking is $5.00 a day.
