NEW! Register now for Baseball, Softball & T-Ball!

In-town leagues are available for boys K - 6 and girls, grades K - 5.  Multi-town leagues with Berkeley Heights and Mountainside are available for girls, grades 6 - 8 and boys, grades 7 - 9 (ages 13 - 15).  See the flyer for more information.

NEW! Quickstart Tennis coming to New Providence

A new way of teaching Tennis to young people is coming to New Providence in 2012. Classes for preschoolers begin in the spring session and outdoor lessons will begin in April on the municipal tennis courts. Quickstart Tennis is a revolutionary new way to teach tennis to young people involving smaller court sizes and child-sized equipment. More information available on this flyer.

Recreation Seeks Dance Instructor

New Providence Recreation has an immediate opening for a dance instructor to teach classes after school on Wednesday afternoons. Experience with beginner to intermediate dancers required.  Position available immediately. Salary commensurate with experience. Click here for a job description.

2011-2012 Youth & Adult Recreation Classes

Registration is ongoing for Youth and Adult Programs.  Our Recreation Programs Book is now online at this link: 2011-12 Programs Book . Adult WINTER Session begins on Monday, November 28.  Youth SPRING Session begins on Monday, January 30, 2012.

NP Recreation Introduces Background Check Policy for Volunteer Coaches

Beginning with the 2011-12 Basketball season, NP Recreation coaches, assistant coaches and parent helpers will be required to complete a Background Check.  This program is mandatory and free of cost to volunteers.  Click here to view Background Checks Policy and Procedures.  In addition, you can read the press release regarding the program at the Basketball Season Website.
