Middle School Track & Tennis Programs
Students in the 7th & 8th grades are invited to participate in our two spring programs: Middle School Co-ed Track & Middle School Co-ed Tennis. Both are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays after school for three weeks beginning May 27 and are led by NPHS coaches and staff. See the flyer for additional details.
New Providence Tennis Courts Lights & Memberships
Enjoy tennis under the lights! From April 1-June 20, the Municipal Tennis Courts lights will be on from dusk until 9PM Mon-Thu and until 10PM Fri-Sun. From June 21-September 1, lights will be on until 10PM daily. Members may make one-hour reservations and get priority for court usage from 6-10PM on weekends from May 24-June 15 and daily from June 21-September 1. USSI Spring Sports Registration
TryCAN/NP Rec Spring & Summer Classes for Kids with Special Needs
Kids with special needs are invited to participate in two great programs in New Providence this spring and summer. TryCAN Soccer will begin April 21 (see flyer), and, new this summer is TryCAN Pioneer Playground Camp (see flyer). Summit also has many spring programs available (see flyer). As with all TryCAN programs, there are no residency restrictions or non-residency fees - all are welcome!
After School Enrichment
Registration for Spring Golf/Tennis enrichment is Open. Classes will begin the week of March 31, 2014.
2013-2014 Fall/Winter/Spring Programs
Financial assistance is available for Borough-run programs only. In order to qualify for assistance, participants must provide a copy of their approved "free" or "reduced" school lunch letter which is determined by the United States Department of Agriculture, Food & Nutrition Service 'Income Eligibility Guidelines'. Participants seeking financial assistance need to register in person at the Recreation Office.
Hillview Field Closed Thru Spring 2014
Hillview Field is being renovated and is CLOSED to all activity until Spring 2014. Click here to see the Borough Administrator's letter about the project. We apologize for any inconvenience.
"FACES" Community Art Project
The Recreation Department recently unveiled "FACES", a community art project on permanent display at the Municipal Center outside the Recreation Department. EASTER EGG HUNT - Saturday, April 12 at 9:30AM at Oakwood Park (1 Roessner Pl.). The Lion's Club sponsors this event. For more information, go to www.nplions.org.
MEMORIAL DAY PARADE - Monday, May 26 at 10:00 AM on Springfield Ave from Central Ave to Academy St. The Borough of New Providence and the New Providence American Legion Post #433 co-sponsor this parade. To be in the line of march, please click here for the mail-in form.
