Registration for Adult Winter Classes
Registration begins Monday, December 2 for Adult Winter Classes. Click "Online Registration" above.
- Winter Session: January 13 - April 18, 2014. Classes run for 14 weeks. except where indicated.

Registration for Youth Spring Classes
Registration begins Monday, December 9 at 10AM for Youth Spring Classes. Click "Online Registration" above.
- Spring Session: January 27 - May 16, 2014. Classes run for 14 weeks, except where indicated.
- Location: New Providence Municipal Center, except where indicated.
Youth Basketball for Boys & Girls - Grades 1-8
- Grades 1-2: Registration ends Wednesday, November 27.
- Grades 3-8: Rosters are available at "Basketball Season Website" link above.

Special Needs Programs: TryCAN Basketball for Kids & Art for Adults
NP Recreation will host TryCAN Basketball on Saturday afternoons beginning January 4 for kids with special needs. Register by December 8 to guarantee a shirt. First come-first served. View the flyer for details.
Art for Adults with Special needs begins on January 17. The class will meet for six Fridays from 6:30-8:00PM. View the flyer for additional information.
After School Enrichment
Registration for the winter session of enrichment will begin on Monday, January 6, 2014. Classes will begin the week of January 27, 2014.
2013-2014 Fall/Winter/Spring Programs
Financial assistance is available for Borough-run programs only. In order to qualify for assistance, participants must provide a copy of their approved "free" or "reduced" school lunch letter which is determined by the United States Department of Agriculture, Food & Nutrition Service 'Income Eligibility Guidelines'. Participants seeking financial assistance need to register in person at the Recreation Office.
Jaycee Park Closed Thru December 2013 & Hillview Field Closed Thru Spring 2014
The Borough is making enhancements to Jaycee Park, and it is CLOSED to public use through year-end to accommodate the necessary work. Hillview Field is also being renovated and is CLOSED to all activity until Spring 2014. Click here to see the Borough Administrator's letter about the project. We apologize for any inconvenience.
"FACES" Community Art Project
The Recreation Department recently unveiled "FACES", a community art project on permanent display at the Municipal Center outside the Recreation Department. CHRISTMAS WALK - Friday, November 29 at 4:30PM. Santa arrives at 6:00PM at Provident Bank on South Street
**New Providence shop keepers will be welcoming everyone beginning at 4:30pm with treats, activities and refreshments, the Presbyterian Church will have live animals starting at 5pm, Live Nativity at 6:30pm**
Please come out and join us in kicking off the holiday season! Come watch Santa arrive in town with a parade led by the New Providence High School Pioneer Band and the New Providence Fire Department. The kids can also enjoy Christmas Carolers, a stilt walker, sand art and more!

NP Recreation Introduces Background Check Policy for Volunteer Coaches
