Springfield Avenue Bridge Construction Project in Berkeley Heights

Union County has begun the rehabilitation of the structurally deficient Springfield Avenue Bridge over Snyder Brook, located in Berkeley Heights Township, New Jersey. The rehabilitation of the bridge consists of the replacement of the superstructure and associated substructure work.  Springfield Avenue  will be closed to all through traffic in the immediate vicinity of the bridge and traffic will be detoured around the project site, with a separate detour necessary for truck traffic.

The closure of the bridge is expected for 60 days and commencing on or about July 17, 2017 through September, 2017.

Please see The Project Information Sheet and Proposed Detour for more information.
