According to SafeWise, a recent review of UCR reports as compared to other municipalities in the United States, New Providence ranked as the 67th safest.  New Providence,  is flanked by the Passaic River and Watchung Mountains. Suffice to say, it’s easy on the eyes. It’s also an easy place to live with low instances of violent crime and fantastic school programs. The STEM program, which inspires children to explore science, technology, engineering, and math, and the TryCan program, which brings social development programs, community service opportunities, and fun activities to children with special needs, serve as two of the most impressive programs. Both demonstrate community commitment by providing every resident with engaging and enriching activities they love.
