We will continue to keep you updated as we receive confirmed information from the state and from the health department. Please note, that we can not report a “recovered” case until cleared personally by our Borough nurse.

Our number one priority is your protection and safety. Please continue to shelter in. No non-essential outings or gatherings. Maintain all social distancing protocols, continue to vigorously wash hands often, and sanitize surfaces. Masks or facial coverings must be worn in all retail establishments and while riding NJ Transit. The CDC also recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain especially in areas of significant community-based transmission. If you are in need of masks, Linda’s Creative Gifts, located in the Adam’s Shopping Center at 1259 Springfield Ave New Providence, will be hosting another free mask giveaway this Saturday, April 18th, between 11am-2pm. We are proud to announce that New Providence has partnered with FLAG to support our borough, launching 𝗙𝗟𝗔𝗚 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲! FLAG (Front Line Appreciation Group) is an organization dedicated to helping feed our committed front line health care workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, while also supporting our local restaurants to help keep them in business. 𝗙𝗟𝗔𝗚 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 will be collecting donations via the New Providence Education Foundation. All donations will be used to place orders at NP restaurants and delivered to our front line workers and volunteers fighting COVID-19.
