Our CSA (Community Service Association of New Providence) is a local non-profit organization that provides temporary financial assistance to New Providence residents during a time of need. If you need help, please contact our Community Service Association (CSA) at (908) 665-8254. All calls are strictly confidential.
Donations to the CSA are used solely to help your fellow New Providence residents during their time of financial need. Wellness Calls: Senior Buddy Program

The Borough has started a “Senior Buddy” program as an outreach to our most vulnerable population. We are connecting our seniors with borough employees who will be checking in with anyone who feels they may need a little help making it through this time. “Buddies” will have information available about grocery store and pharmacy hours and food delivery, and will also just check in to brighten someone’s day. If you are a resident of New Providence and would like a “Buddy”, please email us at seniorbuddies@newprov.org or call the DeCorso Community Center at (908) 665-0046 (messages are being checked regularly). In the event of an emergency, please dial 911.

We have more “Good Things Happening in NP” to report:
We were excited to hear about New Providence residents, Maria Deluca, Amy Lepre, (and see Karen Canniffe) on Channel 7 News last night talking about their fundraising rainbow lawn sign campaign (signs printed by Scott Hale of STH Printing of New Providence). Through the Overlook Auxiliary they have very successfully sold over 2,500 signs raising over $100,000 and were able to purchase a much needed room sterilizer for Overlook Hospital. This sterilizer is able to completely sanitize a room in 20 minutes. This is just incredible!

“Why are we doing this?
Overlook Auxiliary is inviting the community to display its appreciation for healthcare and essential workers by purchasing one of the Hope & Gratitude signs.
Where can people buy a sign and how will they get it?
Go to OAUX.ORG to purchase and the sign will be delivered to your door by one of our volunteers.
What are we raising money for?
The $25 per sign fundraising effort was created to raise funds for a XENEX sterilization machine, which can sterilize a room in 20 minutes, for Overlook Medical Center. This machine costs $90,000. Now that we have raised enough money to buy the machine, the additional money will be used for current pandemic needs at the hospital.
Our message to the community?
“Hope and Gratitude are more contagious than any virus.” We hope each sign will serve as a reminder to neighbors and passersby that we appreciate the amazing contributions of those on the front line during this crisis like the healthcare and other essential workers who are still working every day for us.
