I hope everyone had a good weekend. We have 2 new cases to report, and no new deaths. The Governor is slowly permitting more and more to open and is starting to loosen some restrictions, but please continue to take all precautions and follow all of our safety protocols. Please continue to keep our lost, afflicted, and their families in your thoughts and prayers. Please also continue to keep a light in your window to help light up our nights in support, remembrance, and in solidarity in our fight against COVID-19. We will get through this! We will continue to keep you updated as we receive confirmed information.

MEMORIAL DAY TRIBUTE:

In case you missed it, please enjoy this beautiful video celebrating Memorial Day years past. It is an honorable tribute to our heroes and our community. Thank you to our Community Activities Director, Bernadette Cuccaro, her team, our New Providence American Legion Post #433, and all the contributors, for helping put together such a nice tribute for our community to honor and celebrate Memorial Day. Thank you! https://vimeo.com/422256077

POPPY DRIVE:

Thank you to our American Legion Post #433 for their curbside drive up Poppies Drive. Our community was able to go by our American Legion this weekend to curbside pick up a poppy for a voluntary contribution. Thank you to all who contributed. If you would like to make a contribution to our American Legion, please call (908) 464-9010.

COMMUNITY FLAG DAY EVENT:

(Please note: this inclusive community event is in addition to and does not replace or detract from traditional Flag Day honoring our American Flag) New Providence Our Community For All Committee has arranged to have Flag Kits available to our community for everyone to participate in a community Flag Day Event in celebration of our Tricentennial. Anyone in New Providence: individuals, families, a group, a sports team, or an organization is welcome to design and decorate a square of cotton fabric with weather-safe markers or paints. The squares will be collected and strung like pennant flags on ropes from the roof lines and railings of the pavilion in Centennial Park. The flags will be on display for several weeks. Please sign up here for your free flag kit here:
