0 New Deaths
We have one new case today, but thankfully no new deaths to report. Please continue to shelter in, only essential outings, and if out, all social distancing protocols are required.
Today, I had the honor of swearing in our new Police Chief Theresa Gazaway as the 7th Police Chief of the Borough of New Providence. Chief Gazaway has risen through the ranks during her twenty three year career, holding nearly every rank. Her common sense approach and dedication to the residents of our community is the foundation of what she represents. Chief Gazaway has the distinction of being New Providence’s first female police Chief. We congratulate and wish her every success in her new role serving our community.
Also sworn in today was Patrolman Gregg Miller. Ptlm. Miller has been working in the capacity of a Special Law Enforcement Officer with the Borough for the last year. Congratulations to Chief Gazaway and Patrolman Miller!
Have a great weekend. Happy May! Stay safe. Stay strong. And keep positive. I think we are turning the corner. Pioneer Strong!
