NPCOVID19 UPDATES:
Update from Mayor Al Morgan
Monday 6/1 6pm
We are very happy to report no new cases and no news deaths today or over the weekend. This is great news! Please continue to follow all safety protocols and practice social distancing. We will continue to keep you informed as we receive confirmed information.
Today the Governor announced the following:
6/15 Outdoor Restaurant Dining with restrictions can begin
6/15 Non-essential retail businesses can re-open with restrictions
6/22 Salons and Barber Shops can reopen with restrictions
Gyms and Health Clubs to follow.
We are on this and will continue to keep you informed as the State gives us guidelines on these upcoming re-openings. Mayor and Council are working diligently on initiatives to assist our local restaurants with enhanced outdoor dining facility temporary permits to help ease the financial strain our businesses have endured. We are also working on an outdoor gym and yoga class program for our local gym and studios to provide outdoor classes on designated borough properties. More information and details will be forthcoming shortly. As a community we all have a vested interest in keeping our local businesses viable. Please support local businesses as they have always very generously supported us. Shop (and dine!) New Providence!

Please stay strong, be well, and keep positive! We are one day closer to normalcy. We will get through this together. Pioneer Strong!
