NPCOVID19 11/09/20 Update from Mayor Al Morgan

We have 8 new COVID-19 cases in New Providence reported to us from the Board of Health. This includes the cases in the Board of Education communication sent out yesterday. We have a total of 12 active non-LTC cases in New Providence. We thankfully do not have any LTC cases in our community. Contact tracing has been completed on seven of the new eight cases. One is still in progress. Please answer the call if the Public Health Nurse contacts you. We wish all a speedy recovery!

Cases are steadily climbing here in New Providence and in our surrounding communities. Please be extra vigilant now and talk with your children and families about taking extra precautions. Please wear a mask, social distance, wash hands thoroughly and often, sanitize surfaces, and follow all CDC safety protocols outlined here:
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/prevention.html

We will continue to keep you updated as we receive confirmed information.

Additional resources and information are available to our residents on the New Jersey COVID-19 Information Hub at https://covid19.nj.gov/, and on our Borough website under the COVID-19 tab at https://www.newprov.org/information-and-resources/

Be safe, keep well, stay strong, and wear your mask. We will get through this. Pioneer Strong!
