NPCOVID19 12/19/20 Saturday Update from Mayor Al Morgan:

We have 2 new Covid-19 cases in our community reported to us from the Board of Health, and 2 more recovered. Our current total active cases in New Providence is 30 (26 non-LTC cases and 4 LTC cases).

Here is a breakdown of our current cases:

  • 1 New Adult non-LTC Cases
  • 1 New Child Case:
    • 1 AWR Student
  • 2 Recovered
  • 30 Total Active Cases:
    • 26 Active non-LTC Cases
    • 4 Active LTC Cases

New Providence has had a total of 187 positive COVID-19 cases since October 1st:

  • October – 12 Cases
  • November- 99 Cases
  • December (1st-19th) – 76 Cases

We wish all a speedy recovery! Please keep our lost, afflicted, their families, all of our dedicated first responders, emergency management, medical personnel, and essential workers in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you to our New Providence Police Department and our Salt Brook School community for partnering in the NPPD Toys for Tots program. Hundreds of wonderful presents for children in need were donated and collected.  It is so wonderful to see these heartwarming community partnerships engaging our students in meaningful ways of helping others, working together, and giving back to the community.
