HOW YOU CAN HELP IN OUR COMMUNITY
“If I cannot do great things, I can do small things in a great way.”
-Martin Luther King
Let us continue to follow Martin Luther King’s example of service and love by continuing to help and serve our community especially during these pandemic times with so many in need. Some of our residents were not able to help or participate in yesterday’s day of service events and activities, but would like to contribute in whatever way they can. Many that were able to help, serve, participate, and/or contribute yesterday felt inspired to do more, especially our children. Even the smallest amount, gesture, show of support, or few moments of your time or resource can make a world of difference to someone and to our community. During these pandemic times, so many of our friends and neighbors were very deeply impacted. So much help is needed! Please help out friends and neighbors in need by offering to pick up/drop off essentials, bring trash and recycling receptacles to/from the street, help shovel walks during inclement weather, assist with on-line ordering, etc. Please check in on each other, especially on our seniors and our most vulnerable. A phone call or message goes a long way in helping feel connected. If you are able and would like to contribute, here are some of the many places and ways that can directly benefit our community. There are many others! Please help wherever, whenever, and however you can. Thank you for your generosity and Pioneer Spirit! We will get through this together! PIONEER STRONG!

LIFT SPIRITS! (Fun to do with the kids!)
Giving someone a call, sending a text or email, video chat, dropping off or sending a card, note, picture, or small token gesture goes a long way in helping us feel connected, especially our seniors and most vulnerable. Here are some more ideas to help lift spirits in our community:
LIGHT UP NP (Fun to do with the kids!)
Help Us Light Up New Providence! We would like to light up our nights in our community until this crisis is over. If you would like to participate, please put lights in your windows or outdoors to show support and solidarity with our community for our afflicted, our lost, and their families, for all of our first responders, our emergency management team, and all of essential workers in the fight against COVID-19 until this crisis is over. You can use holiday lights or just a battery-candle in the window.
CHALK YOUR WALK (Fun to do with the kids!)
Help lift morale and brighten our days by creating chalk pictures and messages on your walk and driveway areas.
DECORATE YOUR WINDOWS (Fun to do with the kids!)
With the holidays behind us, and many festive decorations packed away, maybe consider decorating your windows which can bring so much joy to passers by!
These are just a few great ideas. Please share your ideas and contributions too. We are all in this together and together we will get through this! Pioneer Strong!
