STORM UPDATE: Thursday 7:30pm

We sincerely thank all our First Responders: Police, Fire, EMS, Emergency Management Team, our DPW, and our Borough staff who all worked together heroically throughout the night and all today to help get us through the storm, up and running, and helped keep us all safe. We had 15 water rescues, many of which were life and death situations. We could not be more grateful and thankful that no residents were seriously hurt and no loss of life due to the storm. We did have a very brave police officer, who during a rescue was injured but is thankfully home recovering. We thank all for their dedicated service to our community. It was quite a storm. It came down fast and furiously. Several roads were impacted. All are now cleared and passable. In all my years as Mayor, I have never seen so much water fall in such a short time span. We realize that there is extensive property damage all over town, clean up and full restoration may take awhile. Thankfully we did not have any major power loss issues. Small blessings! Thank you for your patience, and for being strong. It seems no matter how bad the situation, we always find a way to come together, neighbor helping neighbor, businesses helping people in need, and organizations lending a hand. We are Pioneer Strong! Thank you!

– Mayor Al Morgan
