NPCOVID19 UPDATE: Saturday – December 11, 2021

There are currently 48 reported active cases of COVID-19 in New Providence.  24 new cases were reported between December 4th-10th. We have 8 new reported recovered cases. Most of our current cases are in family clusters. We are averaging 2-4 new cases per day. Projections from the State Health Department show cases rising into January.

Friday, December 4th – Friday, December 10th:

  • 24 New Reported Cases:
    • 16 Adults
    • 8 Children
  • 8 New Recovered Cases
  • 48 Total Active Cases (all non-LTC)

New Providence has had a total of 246 reported positive cases since June 1st :

  • June –    4 Cases
  • July   –  12 Cases
  • Aug   –  59 Cases
  • Sept  –  55 Cases
  • Oct    –  27 Cases
  • Nov   –  41 Cases
  • Dec   –  48 Cases

The CDC has approved booster doses for 16-17 year olds and December 15th has been deemed “Boost NJ Day”.  There will be a booster clinic at Forest Rd Park in Fanwood from 10am-12noon on Dec 15th.
