All events are pending Covid-19 restrictions allowing.  The safety of our Community is our top concern.

Memorial Day Tribute:  Join us on Monday, May 31, 2021 as New Providence remembers the brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice while serving in this country’s armed forces. More information to come soon about this virtual event.

Sharing Network 5K:  NJ Sharing Network’s Annual 5K Celebration of Life, September 12, 2021, brings together thousands of walkers, runners and volunteers to honor those who gave, pay tribute to those who received, offer hope to those who continue to wait and remember the lives lost while waiting.

Independence Day Celebration:  On Saturday, July 3, 2021, festivities will take place on South Street.  Fireworks launch at 9:30pm.

Summer Family Concerts:  Enjoy shows beginning at 6:30pm on Thursday nights in July at Centennial Park (Springfield Ave. and Academy St.).

National Night Out: Sponsored by New Providence PBA Local 132, this event is Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2021 at Centennial Park (Springfield Ave. and Academy St.)

Downtown Trick-Or-Treating: Trick or Treat with local businesses will be held in downtown New Providence on DATE TBD. Wear your costumes and look for the stores with an orange pumpkin in the window or on the door!  This event is Rain or Shine.

Street Fair:   The fair, sponsored by the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders and New Providence Business, will be held on Springfield Avenue, between South Street and Livingston Avenue on DATE TBD.  The fair promises a day of fun for the entire family! The streets are filled with various exhibits, vendors, and activities. Children will have opportunities to visit the petting zoo and experience other fun activities, such as face painting and storytelling. Food vendors will sell refreshments and delicious food throughout the day. Local residents and visitors come to enjoy the food and entertainment. Businesses can participate in this event by serving as a sponsor or a vendor.

Scarecrow Contest: Be a part of the Scarecrow Stroll through Downtown New Providence!!  Create your own unique family-friendly scarecrow or a scarecrow representing your organization, sport, or business. It can be wild, funny, furry, silly, or ridiculous. Use your imagination!! FREE to enter but space is limited! This is your chance to express yourself, your organization, or business! Scarecrows will be on display from October-November. DATES TBD

Holiday Festival: Kick of the Holiday on Friday, Nov. 26. Come watch Santa arrive in town with a parade led by the NPHS Pioneer Band and the NPFD. The fun begins at 4:30pm and Santa arrives at 6:00pm at Provident Bank on South Street.
