The Memorial Day Parade remembering those who died in active military service will be held on Monday, May 27 – rain or shine. The parade will march along Springfield Avenue from Central Avenue to Academy Street. The parade will pause at the United Methodist Church and the Presbyterian Church for Memorial Services, including an honor guard salute and taps played at each location. The parade ends at the Veteran’s Memorial, adjacent to the New Providence Memorial Library, where remarks by the Mayor and Commander of the American Legion will conclude the formal events of the day.
