New Providence Decorated Pumpkin Contest and Trunk-or-Treat Events are Back!

The New Providence Annual Decorated Pumpkin Contest and Trunk-or-Treat events are back live this year and will both be held on Saturday, October 23rd 3pm at the New Providence Community Pool Parking Lot. These FREE family friendly community events are hosted by the New Providence PBA in partnership with the New Providence Lions. Everyone is invited and welcomed to participate and attend!

If you would like to participate in the Decorated Pumpkin Contest, please bring your decorated pumpkin to the pool parking lot between 2:30-3pm on Saturday October 23rd. You do not need to stay for the event to enter your pumpkin(s) in the contest. (Touchless curbside pumpkin trunk drop off will also be available. Simply pull up to the registration area in the pool parking lot and pop your trunk).

For the contest: Pumpkins can be real or artificial, any size, carved or uncarved, and can be painted and/or decorated using any safe medium. No scary, gruesome, political, offensive, or inappropriately themed pumpkins will be permitted as this is a family friendly fall festive event. Event hosts retain the right to refuse any pumpkin for any reason. You may enter as many pumpkins as you would like in the following age categories: 4-8yrs, 9-12yrs, 13-17yrs, 18+, Business/Organization.

After the event, pumpkins will be brought downtown to Centennial Park to be displayed. Contestants have the option of picking up their pumpkin at any time or may choose to bring their pumpkin home/not display downtown. All pumpkins not picked up after Halloween will be collected by our DPW.

For the Trunk -or-Treating event:

Participating trunks should arrive at 2:30pm (not earlier) at the New Providence Community Pool parking lot. Trunks may be decorated, bring individually wrapped treats to distribute, and if you would like you may also have a  game, display, and/or activity, etc. Costume wearing and trunk decorating are not required, and anyone can participate. All are welcome!
