The Mission of the New Providence Police Department is to protect and serve all citizens impartially and without bias.  Officers strive to enhance the quality of life and instill a sense of security within the community, through proactive patrol and professional public interaction.  We pledge to be vigilant while serving with dignity, respect and excellence.

The New Providence Police Department will maintain the highest level of service to our community through thoughtful decision making and fostering strong relationships with our community.  We choose innovative thinking and collaboration as a means of delivering meaningful actions.  Ultimately, we will identify the changing needs of our community and model best practices throughout law enforcement to deliver on the mission of this agency.
