IMPORTANT: If you already have a Smart 911 profile, please make sure that you verify your account when you are contacted by RAVE Smart 911.
Through one easy sign up process, residents can share important information with 9-1-1 responders and also receive timely emergency and community alerts.
With Smart 911, anytime you make an emergency call from a phone registered with your Safety Profile, our 9-1-1 system recognizes your phone number and automatically displays your profile on the screen of the call taker who receives your call. Your profile can contain important information about physical addresses, medical conditions, medications, vehicles, pets and even emergency contacts.
There are three easy ways to register for Smart 911! Just follow the instructions below:
1. Download the Smart 911 app to register, receive alerts, or update your profile and preferences from your cell phone. Download the app from the Apple Store or Google Play or by texting “Smart911” to 67283.
2. Click Create Smart 911 Profile and fill in the form online. You can also select the New Providence alerts that you want to receive when you create your profile.
3. If you previously created a profile, update your Smart 911 Profile to receive Emergency Alerts
If you already have a Smart 911 Emergency Safety Profile and would like to receive alert messages OR change your alert selections, sign into your profile using the link below and click the Alerts tab at the top of the page to select which notifications you want to receive and how you want to receive them (text, voice, email). Make sure you select “All Opt-In Recipients Emergency Notifications from the Borough of New Providence” to receive emergency notifications. You may also choose to receive non-emergency notices about traffic conditions, Recreation updates, and community event information.
Click Update Smart 911 Profile to sign in to your Smart 911 account and select your alert notifications.
